Leadership Equity Program’s Cohort One Completes 10-Month Program!

Congratulations to the Leadership Equity Program’s (LEP’s) first cohort for completing their aspiring c-suite leadership program in November 2022.  The cohort participants met at the CPCA offices for their final in-person meeting before receiving a special Certificate of Completion on November 19th.  The Leadership Equity Program team would also like to extend a special “Thank You” to the Capacity Building Executive Leadership Members as well as the Leadership Executive Program Advisory Committee for their ongoing support and participation in the program.

The Leadership Equity Program’s November in-person event began with a dinner reception hosted by the LEP team at The Ultra Room-Cafeteria 15L on Thursday, November 17, 2022.  Guests, who were formally invited via personal invitations, included:  LEP Cohort participants, Advisory Committee Members, community health center & consortium executives and sponsors, CPCA executives, LEP Team, LEP Program Consultants, SMEs, and Molina Healthcare.  The in-person meetings commenced Friday, November 18th and concluded Saturday, the 19th wrapping up a 10-month program which began over a year ago.

There were significant barriers several cohort members experienced along the journey to growing their leadership capacity and build community partnerships. However, due to their desire to find their voices and use their talents and skills in new ways, they began a pathway to grow as “change agents.” They allowed themselves to overcome their limiting beliefs and, in the process, transformed themselves into empowered leaders for their consortiums and health centers and communities with which they partner. We are so proud of this cohort and look forward to continuing to support them throughout their journey to advocate for healthy communities and health equity change.  They’re ready to take the first steps post-program to support the LEP by leveraging their voices to help their CHCs recruit for the second cohort.  We are encouraged and honored to have the support of the inaugural cohort to herald the success of this important program.
