Angela Avalos
Controller
Angela is an accounting professional with a Master of Accountancy (M.Acc) degree from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on finance and corporate management from California State University – East Bay. Angela has worked in a variety of industries, but most recently comes from an environmental health and safety consulting background. With a collaborative and engaging management style, Angela has extensive experience in the fields of accounting and finance, demonstrating a record of success in various leadership roles.
Chelsea Coss
Senior Grant Coordinator
Chelsea most recently worked as a market researcher, running studies with key stakeholders to redefine how companies navigate opportunity and uncertainty. She has served in various communication and research roles and has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of nonprofit organizations. While an undergraduate at Western Michigan University, Chelsea worked as a grant advisor for Big Brothers, Big Sisters, which was selected as a first-prize grant recipient in 2013. She has both an MA and a BA in Communication from Western Michigan University and was an AmeriCorps member.
Xia Wen Guan
Digital Marketing & Design Coordinator
Xia Wen Guan is a bilingual professional with a degree in Communication Studies from Sacramento State University. With a background in nonprofit work and marketing coordination, Xia Wen is passionate about serving her community and fostering leadership skills. Her involvement in Circle K International during her undergraduate years not only sharpened her leadership skills but also instilled in her a deep commitment to service.
Madison Kelly
People Operations Specialist
With a Family Studies and Human Development degree from the University of Arizona, Madison has a natural passion for supporting others and finds great fulfillment in fostering meaningful connections. Before joining the CPCA team, Madison worked in Talent Acquisition, where she refined her relationship-building and process-improvement skills. Madison is excited to continue her journey in People Operations, where she can expand her knowledge while staying true to her commitment to serving others.
Graciela Silva
Civic Engagement Coordinator, Santa Clara County
Graciela is a recent UC Santa Cruz graduate, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and interned on campus as a peer health educator doing outreach and health promotion for students seeking health resources. She has a special interest in health and nutritional psychology and the effects within communities and is passionate about serving her community through volunteering. She possesses skills in strategic thinking, project planning and strong interpersonal communication. Her ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds makes her a great collaborator for networking events and curating strong professional relationships.
A Familiar Face in a New Role
Taylor Beckwith, formerly CPCA’s Associate Director of Grassroots Advocacy, is now serving as the Associate Director of Population Health Management. In this role, she will be responsible for leading CPCA’s health center education and administrative advocacy portfolio in the topic areas of behavioral health, population health management, case/care management, and care team development. Taylor’s new scope of work includes the imminent launch of a dyadic care services training and technical assistance grant in collaboration with the Department of Health Care Services and the University of San Francisco.
