Continued Growth and Success in Connected Community
In November of 2019, CPCA successfully launched our peer learning platform, Connected Community. At the time, it was the newest member benefit, however when COVID-19 hit it became a valuable asset to host a full COVID-19 library, providing over 300 resources for health center continuity of care.
Our largest community is the All Member Community, which all member health center staff have access to, and now has over 500 individual discussion threads. The entire platform itself has grown to host over 33 different content-specific communities, with more in the pipeline. These communities primarily support our peer networks and other special projects. Over the last 12 months, over 1,500 unique health center staff have accessed this platform.
It is important to note that Connected Community does not replace the outstanding technical assistance you have received from CPCA in the past. Rather, it is an added member benefit, a platform for peer-to-peer learning and sharing. When you post a question on the platform, a CPCA staff person won’t always respond because we are waiting for one of your health center peers to share their experiences and knowledge with you first. However, CPCA staff are monitoring the conversations in their assigned communities and are learning new ways to get your peers to engage. A new feature which will be released in the new year will be a way to highlight all unanswered questions, so you can easily identify who still needs assistance.
Just a few weeks ago, CPCA launched a new webinar series of 30-minute mini sessions, where CPCA staff highlight various CPCA benefits, tools, and how-tos, to address members’ commonly asked questions. This first session was a highlight of the Connected Community platform where we explained why we adopted the program, gave a demonstration and a complete walk-through of the platform, and showed members how to get the most value out of the experience. The session recording is now available in our OnDemand Library, as well as added to the All Member Community Library on Connected Community.
If you haven’t logged in to the platform yet, we highly recommend that you do to gain firsthand experience from your peers, learn what challenges your peers are overcoming and how they’re overcoming them. You can access the site here at Connected Community, where you will need to login using your CPCA website credentials. If you have difficulty signing in, or have any questions related to this program, contact us at Training@cpca.org and we can reset your password for you, as well as provide guidance and answers as it relates to CPCA trainings and events.
