Membership Modernization

In April, CPCA’s Board of Directors established three Technical Advisory Committees (TACs) tasked with developing strategic frameworks to set the direction of programmatic and advocacy activities CPCA provides to health centers across California. The TACs were targeted to three areas of impact: Membership Modernization, PPS, and Workforce.

The Membership Modernization TAC has worked diligently over the past several months to analyze data and develop a draft membership dues proposal that is actively being shared with CPCA members via Member Town Halls in November and December 2024. To craft the proposal, the TAC took a thoughtful and deliberate approach, reviewing CPCA-member trends, budget, financials, current dues methodology, and organizational comparisons and developing multiple alternative dues scenarios to arrive at the proposed plan.

The TAC wants to ensure that it reflects the perspective of CPCA members; therefore, CPCA is hosting statewide and regional town halls to provide members an opportunity to engage directly, learn about the draft dues proposal, and contribute their insights. Member feedback is vital for refining the proposal ahead of the CPCA Board’s review and decision making in February 2025. The town halls, which are being held virtually for 90 minutes, were scheduled in partnership with regional and statewide consortia from November to December 2024.

CPCA members may direct their inquiries or feedback about the Membership Modernization Initiative or the respective town halls to Nataly Tellez, Director of Strategic Initiatives, at ntellez@cpca.org and/or Ginger Smith, Chief Operating Officer, at gsmith@cpca.org.
