CPCA welcomes new staff members
Isaías Iñiguez
Isaías Iñiguez joined CPCA as the new Workforce Program Coordinator in September. Isaías’ work focuses on expanding and strengthening external partnerships and program offerings specific to health professions recruitment and retention efforts. These partnerships include CPCA’s work with the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development, Advanced Health Education Centers, as well as academic partners and research institutions. Isaias will also work on CPCA’s Salary Survey and staff the Human Resource Peer Network. Isaías comes to CPCA from member health center, Dientes Community Dental in Santa Cruz. He has several years of program coordination experience and a BA degree in Latin American and Latino studies, with an emphasis on political science, from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Amanda Willard
Amanda Willard also joined the CPCA in September, as our new Health Center Operations Senior Program Coordinator on. She leads our oral health and emergency preparedness efforts. Amanda has a strong public health background, as well as extensive program and project management experience. She comes to CPCA from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Office of AIDS where she served as the Surveillance Coordinator, providing training and technical assistance to counties on HIV/AIDS case reporting requirements and CDC funded grant priorities. Prior to that, she served as the Fleet Coordinator for the CDPH Air Resources Board and was responsible for coordinating a state program aimed at promoting and protecting public health through effective and efficient reduction of air pollutants. Amanda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health Policy from UC Irvine as well as a Master’s degree in Public Health from Drexel University.
