CPCA Revamps Groups: A New Clinical Task Force and Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Peer Network
To meet the goal of providing valuable discussion opportunities on timely, relevant topics to our members, CPCA has made some changes to our committees and peer networks. Here are the details:
CPCA’s NEW Clinical Task Force
The new Clinical Task Force (CTF) was formed by a merger between the former Clinician’s Committee of the CPCA Board and Committees and the former Primary Care Peer Network. In addition to this merger, the former clinical update calls were absorbed into new monthly CTF meetings. These modifications were made with the goal of aligning these groups and increasing participation.
The CTF convenes monthly, on the second Tuesday of each month, from 4-5 pm, and is open to all CPCA members. Topics we’ve discussed so far include updates to the clinical efficacy of COVID-19 therapeutics, CPCA policy priorities, and the DEA proposed rulemaking for the Ryan Haight amendment. We have enjoyed meeting with the group since our first meeting in February of this year, and we look forward to continued dialogue on timely and relevant clinical topics. If you have a topic you would like to have discussed during a future CTF meeting or want more information about the CTF, please reach out to Ekeoma Nwadibia at enwadibia@cpca.org.
We welcome you to join us at our next Clinical Task Force meeting!
NEW! CPCA Launches the JEDI Peer Network
In early 2023, CPCA announced the creation of the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Peer Network! The purpose of the group is to discuss and strategize how health centers can operationalize JEDI procedures and policies that advance the undoing of racism and bias against individuals from Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, immigrant, and LGBTQIA+ communities, as well as drive optimum quality measures and health equity. Chaired by LifeLong Medical Care CEO and past CPCA Board Chair, David B. Vliet, the group convened its first meeting on April 5, 2023 where participants agreed on the goals and structure of the peer network moving forward. Over one hundred people registered for the initial kick-off meeting!
If you are interested in joining this peer network and attending the next meeting, please training@cpca.org.
