25th Anniversary Video Contest:
Beyond These Walls Winners Announced!

To celebrate CPCA’s 25th anniversary, we launched the 25th Anniversary Video Contest: Beyond These Walls. We received 22 incredible videos from our members, demonstrating how they create IMPACT, ACCESS, INNOVATION and VALUE in their own communities. Voting was open to all and winners were chosen by popular vote. The top 5 finalists included:

Santa Cruz Community Health Centers showcased a story about their workforce; how after continuing her education, RN Becca returns to the community health center where her career and passion for health access began. Having spent time in various different clinical settings, Becca saw the value of community public health, Santa Cruz CHC’s integrated approach, and was eager to provide her patients with whole-person care-- offering the best of what science and human compassion dictate.

Share Our Selves provided a glimpse of what their patients encounter every day, through an established, unique set of guidelines that strives to “Be excellence from every point of view”.  Share Our Selves’ goal is to create a work place that everyone wants to be a part of and to deliver an experience that empowers patients every day, without exception.  Share Our Selves is far more than the services they offer; they are the Share Our Selves experience.

Petaluma and Rohnert Park Health Centers have been serving their community for 25 years.  Sometimes, it was hard but they did it with joy, kindness and laughter, and they will continue to serve for the next 25 years for their community and each other.

La Clinica de La Raza, Inc. demonstrated their mission to improve the quality of life of the diverse communities they serve by providing culturally appropriate, high quality, and accessible health care for all. La Clínica has increased community impact through innovative programs that improve access to fresh produce and nutritional education.

Salud Para La Gente put a spotlight on the Watsonville farmworkers who have tended the crops families in their community enjoy. These workers rise at dawn and work until dusk to keep California and the nation healthy. Yet, they face disproportionately high rates of diabetes, asthma, and heart disease.  Moving Health Care Upstream fosters well-being through an expanded healthcare team that diagnoses and addresses the underlying causes of health conditions that exist outside the clinic’s four walls, where individuals live, learn, work and play.

More than 128,000 votes were placed during the final round of voting for these 5 videos, and on October 1, 2019, in conjunction with Uptown Studios, the marketing firm that helped support this contest, we announced our winners via Facebook live video streaming:
